Global law firm Clyde & Co has bolstered its presence in the Southwestern United States through a merger with Dallas-based insurance litigation specialist Tillman Batchelor.
The new move is an encouraging sign for Clyde & Co which has seen financial struggles, particularly in Australia where the successful cybersecurity group left the firm and other partners have departed.
The US merger sees the establishment of a new Clyde & Co office in Dallas, with Tillman Batchelor’s name partners, Mark Tillman and Colin Batchelor, joining as partners. Six additional staff members from the boutique firm have also transitioned to Clyde & Co, enhancing the firm’s local expertise and capacity.

Carolena Gordon, (pictured) Clyde & Co’s senior partner, emphasized the significance of the Texas market for the firm’s US and global insurance clients strengthening the firm’s ability to provide comprehensive coverage and defense services in the region.
Mark Tillman highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two firms and their natural synergies.

This merger is part of Clyde & Co’s broader North American expansion plan following the opening of their first office in New York in 2006.
