Buchalter is pleased to announce that Kendall Woods has joined the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group as a Shareholder in the Chicago office.
“Kendall brings outstanding experience in construction and commercial litigation,” said Adam Bass, President and Chief Executive Officer of Buchalter. “As we continue to grow our footprint in Chicago, her arrival further expands the strong foundation we’re building with top-tier talent in key practice areas.”
Woods focuses her practice on construction law and regularly represents owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors nationwide. She negotiates construction contracts, advises on risk mitigation and dispute avoidance strategies, and represents clients in all phases of litigation and dispute resolution.
Her experience spans a wide range of construction-related matters, including delay and lost productivity disputes, design and construction defect claims, wrongful termination, insurance coverage, and construction injury litigation. She also brings significant experience in commercial and business litigation, copyright and trademark disputes, aviation and products liability litigation, premises liability, and corporate litigation.
“I was drawn to Buchalter because of its strong reputation and breadth of practice areas that complement my own,” said Woods. “The Firm’s national platform allows me to expand the range of services I can offer to my clients in the construction and litigation space.”
Woods is known for her hands-on, client-centered approach, emphasizing early involvement to avoid potential disputes and ensure clients are informed at every stage of the resolution process. When early resolution efforts are not successful, she is a tenacious advocate with a track record of favorable litigation outcomes.
“Kendall is a tremendous addition to our growing presence in Chicago,” said Tom Jefson, Managing Shareholder of Buchalter’s Chicago office. “She brings the kind of thoughtful, strategic counsel that reflects the high level of service we are committed to delivering as we continue to build and establish this office.”
Opened in January of 2025, Buchalter’s Chicago office has grown to include approximately 25 attorneys and 11 support staff. The Firm has immediate plans to grow the office even further in the near future.
