Nov. 7, 2025 (Wilmington, Del.) — Kaufman Dolowich, a leading national law firm, today announced that Kristen Swift has been named Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Wilmington, Del. office.
Swift joined Kaufman Dolowich as a partner in February 2024, shortly after the opening of the Delaware office, and previously co-managed the Delaware office of a regional law firm, where she developed the firm’s real estate practice. A well-respected attorney with deep roots in the local legal community, she was drawn to Kaufman Dolowich in part by the opportunity to help establish and grow the firm’s presence in Delaware—a goal she has been passionate about since day one. That commitment has continued to drive her leadership and contributions as the firm expands its footprint in the region.
“I’m honored to take on this new role and grateful for the trust the firm has placed in me,” said Swift. “It’s been rewarding to help grow our presence in Delaware, and I look forward to continuing to support our clients and colleagues as we build on that momentum.”
An alumna of Delaware Law School with a decade of practice in The First State, Swift’s extensive knowledge of the Delaware market and judicial landscape uniquely positions her to help guide Kaufman Dolowich’s continued growth in the region. Swift brings strong relationships within the local legal and business communities, and a keen understanding of the state’s distinctive court system. Her insight into the Delaware Court of Chancery, time spent with the Delaware Supreme Court as a Wolcott Fellow, and experience litigating in state and federal courts will be invaluable as the firm deepens its client relationships in the state and builds upon its Delaware presence.
“Kristen’s appointment reflects the firm’s confidence in her vision, leadership and strong connection to the Delaware legal market,” said Michael Kaufman, Kaufman Dolowich co-managing partner. “She is a respected voice in the community and a proven advocate for our clients.”
Swift’s practice is concentrated on insurance coverage and directors and officer litigation, commercial litigation, professional liability, labor and employment law, and real estate law. She represents clients in insurance coverage and professional and general liability matters, as well as in employment defense, including discrimination, wage and hour and harassment claims, in courts, administrative, and alternative dispute resolution settings.
An active leader in the legal profession, Swift is serving as a Trustee to the Delaware Supreme Court’s Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association’s editorial board for The Delaware Bar Journal, where she curates the women-lawyer-focused column Creating Space in the LAW: Leadership, Advocacy, & Women.
Swift received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Delaware Law School, and her B.S. from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
