Paul Weiss has added to its New York finance practice by hiring three finance partners from Sidley Austin.
He has advised on financing transactions ranging from US$20 million to over US$15 billion, including syndicated and privately placed financings, recurring revenue-based facilities, financings marketed in the United States for the acquisition of European and Asian targets.
Among the three new hires is Nicholas Schwartz, (pictured) who was co-head of the leveraged finance practice at Sidley Austin and is set to join his new firm at the end of the year.
The others in the team are Mark Adler and Julie Ann Lamm, who have already joined Paul Weiss.
The lawyers advise corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on complex debt and leveraged finance deals with experience across a range of complex financing deals and restructuring transactions.
Paul Weiss chairman Brad Karp said the trio’s skillset “will amplify our capabilities at a time when we’re seeing increasing demand by our clients for sharp, solutions-oriented financing for their most consequential transactions”.
