Two MoFo Partners Named As Law.com Corporate Counsel Law Award Finalists

Jennifer Marines and Miriam Wugmeister have been named finalists by Law.com Corporate Counsel for its 2026 Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) Awards. Jennifer has been shortlisted for Managing Partner of the Year, while Miriam has been shortlisted for the Collaborative Leadership – External award. The WIPL awards honor in-house and law firm women leaders who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession.

Jennifer began her leadership tenure at Morrison Foerster in 2016, serving as chair of the Finance Department. She has since held several senior roles, including chair of the Business Restructuring + Insolvency Group, member of the Executive Committee, and most recently, global vice chair of the firm. Today, as vice chair and a core member of a tightly oriented leadership team, Jennifer helps lead the firm’s strategy for resilience, growth, and long-term success while maintaining a leading restructuring practice. She is widely recognized for representing debtors, creditors, and investors in complex chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions.

As chair of Morrison Foerster’s global Data, Cyber + Privacy Group, Miriam is internationally recognized for her deep knowledge of privacy and data security law and her pragmatic advice in a crisis. She advises multinational organizations on enterprise-level privacy and cyber risks, working closely with in-house legal teams, security leaders, executives, and outside stakeholders to build proactive readiness. Miriam is a trusted counsel of some of the world’s largest organizations in times of crises.
