International law firm Bird & Bird today announces that its partnership has re-elected Christian Bartsch as CEO for a further four-year term. Christian has served as CEO since April 2022.

Christian spearheaded the launch of the firm’s five-year strategy in May 2024, moving the whole firm forward through the delivery of key pillars shaped around its clients and people.

The firm continues to grow, last year announcing its 33rd year of consecutive growth. In the previous 3 years, firm revenue is up 28%, with an average annual growth rate of 9%. Under Christian, the firm has opened several new offices in recent years, expanding the global footprint to meet client demand, mostly recently in Tokyo (2024), and Riyadh and Lisbon (2025).

In February 2025, Bird & Bird became one of the first international law firms to globally roll out Legora, continuing to invest in legal technology to optimise legal services. The firm continues to build out its LegalTech & Innovation team to meet client demand.
