Global law firm Freshfields announces today that Daniel Möritz will enter the firm’s partnership. He will be joining the Munich office.
Daniel Möritz has established an outstanding reputation both for high-end corporate law, M&A and private equity. He advises industrials, insurers and private equity investors on international, complex and often regulated transactions. While he is admitted both to the German and New York bar, he has worked at Hengeler Mueller in Düsseldorf, London, and since 2017 in Munich.
“Daniel is a brilliant lawyer”, says Patrick Cichy, Global Co-Head M&A and Capital at Freshfields. “His expertise aligns perfectly with what our clients expect from us on challenging transactions.”
Arend von Riegen, Co-Head of Private Capital adds: “Daniel’s experience and deep roots in private equity are a real asset to our firm. We are excited to welcome him to the partnership and look forward to seeing his practice thrive on our platform.”
Daniel will join a market-leading team for Corporate/M&A and Private Equity which was already expanded in January with four new partners and then in May with four more internal partner promotions. Additionally, the firm has recently announced that Pablo González Mosqueira will join the Madrid office to head the Private Equity practice in Spain.
