On June 22, Skadden secured two Supreme Court victories for pro bono clients.

In United States v. Carter, No. 25-885,  the Court denied the government’s certiorari petition in a case involving the role of race in a Fourth Amendment seizure analysis, preserving a ruling by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. The decision is particularly significant as the Supreme Court rarely denies certiorari petitions filed by the federal government. The Skadden team was led by Parker Rider-Longmaid (pictured) and included Shay DvoretzkyRaza Rasheed, and Sherry Tanious.

In Grayson v. United States, No. 25-851, the Court granted certiorari on a Federal Wiretap Act question, vacated the Sixth Circuit’s decision, and remanded. The Skadden team was led by Shay Dvoretzky and included Parker Rider-LongmaidJeremy Patashnik, and Sherry Tanious.
