Black Door Law has recently welcomed Andrea Pazin and Juliet Dobson as Special Counsels.
Andrea Pazin is an employment law specialist and an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH). She advises individuals and organisations in the public and private sectors about all areas of employment law. Andrea helps clients navigate complex and challenging employment situations, represents clients at mediation and before the Employment Relations Authority, and has been involved in a test case in the Employment Court about good faith obligations. Andrea undertakes independent workplace investigations and has also undertaken investigations into regulatory compliance, professional obligations and customer complaints. Andrea previously worked in the employment and litigation teams at Bell Gully and Buddle Findlay and has over twenty years of employment law experience.
Juliet Dobson brings a wealth of experience in all areas of employment law. She has navigated complex restructurings, disciplinary processes and performance management, and represented many clients at mediation. She has also appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court. Juliet provides advice and solutions for employers and employees across both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Black Door Law, Juliet has worked in corporate law firms, a government department and, most recently, led the Employment Law and Employment Relations team at Victoria University of Wellington. She is also a School Trustee and Foundation Trustee for the City Gallery Wellington.
