Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has recruited highly regarded financial services and regulatory lawyer Emma Rachmaninov from Freshfields, further expanding the firm’s London financial team.
Rachmaninov will co-head its European financial services and funds regulatory team.

Simpson Thacher has announced that Emma Rachmaninov will join the Firm’s European Funds Practice in London as Partner, where she will be Co-Head of the European Financial Services and Funds Regulatory team.

Emma specialises in non-contentious regulatory matters across financial services, including advising sponsors, investment banks and insurers on cross-border M&A, complex restructurings and IPOs. She joins the Firm from Freshfields.
Recognized as a standout partner in her field, Emma is ranked as a ‘Leading Partner’ for non-contentious financial services regulatory by Legal 500.
Emma will co-lead the Financial Services and Funds Regulatory team, following the retirement of Partner Stephanie Biggs.
