Ogletree Deakins, the specialist labor law firm has expanded its international network by opening a nine-lawyer team in Moterrey, Mexico with lawyers joining from labor law heavyweight Littler.

MONTERREY, Mexico – September 2, 2026 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce the opening of its Monterrey, Mexico, office, establishing a presence in one of Latin America’s most important business and industrial centers.
The office is Ogletree Deakins’ 61st location worldwide and its second in Mexico, further strengthening the firm’s ability to support multinational and domestic employers across Mexico and throughout the region.
The new office launches with a highly regarded nine-attorney team led by David E. Leal González (pictured), who will serve as office managing partner, along with partners Rogelio (Roger) Alanis Robles and Luis H. Cortés Salazar. The trio joins Ogletree Deakins from Littler, where they practiced together in the firm’s Monterrey office. Joining the shareholders are five attorneys and a law clerk who will comprise the founding team in Monterrey, along with an associate based in the firm’s Mexico City office.

Leal González has nearly two decades of experience advising and representing employers in traditional labor, social security, administrative proceedings, and workforce restructuring. He regularly counsels employers on collective bargaining, union negotiations, and large-scale workforce transitions. He holds a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
Alanis Robles brings more than 15 years of experience in complex labor advice and strategic consulting, with a focus on collective matters, global mobility, and immigration. He has coordinated numerous international projects across Latin America and previously worked at the General Consulate of Mexico in Dallas, Texas. He holds a law degree from ITESM.
Cortés Salazar has practiced labor law since 2008, focusing on employment litigation and representing employers in both collective and individual labor disputes across Mexico. He has extensive experience before Local and Federal Labor Courts in major cities throughout the country. He holds a law degree from Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey and a master’s degree from Universidad Regiomontana.
