After nearly eight years handling offshore corporate disputes, insolvencies and complex international litigation, Allegra Crawford has returned to Buddle Findlay as a senior associate in its commercial litigation team, a Buddle Findlay media statement says.
Crawford previously worked at the New Zealand firm between 2014 and 2018 before heading to the Cayman Islands, where she joined leading offshore law firm Maples and Calder in its dispute resolution and insolvency practice.
Her offshore experience included trust litigation, cross border restructuring issues and work involving substantial unexpected tax liabilities, Chinese corporate debt restructuring and shareholder valuation disputes arising from mergers.
The Cayman Islands has a concentration of investment funds, offshore corporate structures and international capital makes it a significant centre for complex financial disputes.
