4 May – LAWFUEL – Chadbourne Represented Irish Investors in Polish Property Purchase from German Investors
Chadbourne & Parke represented a group of private Irish investors in the purchase of a major retail/office investment in Warsaw for 60m Euros, in a share purchase deal in which the property was acquired from German investors.
Capital Partners, headed by Dublin-based entrepreneur David Sharkey, purchased the Okecie Center on the outskirts of Warsaw. Built in 2002, the center comprises around 52,000 square meters of retail space together with 20,000 square meters of offices.
The deal was finalized on April 27 after 11 months of protracted negotiations.
Chadbourne attorneys working on the deal were Warsaw international partner Mariusz Stawiarczyk and European counsel Agnieszka Stankiewicz.
This is Capital Partner’s first transaction. The company, however, is presently working on further transactions totaling in excess of 300m Euros.
