San Francisco, CA- May 28, 2004 – LAWFUEL – Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (K&L) continues its growth in Northern California with the addition of Kathryn (Kate) Wheble, a versatile
copyright and trademark partner. She joins the firm’s intellectual property
practice group as a key addition to K&L’s burgeoning San Francisco office.
Wheble, a former 10-year partner at Cooley Godward LLP, focuses her practice
on counseling clients and managing professional staff in all aspects of
trademark and copyright matters in a variety of industries, such as retail,
apparel, food and food service, pharmaceutical, publishing and technology.
With important appointments to the editorial staff of the International
Trademark Association Bulletin and as a columnist for the Northern
California ABTL Journal, Wheble also enjoyed a multifaceted career in
marketing and publishing before becoming an attorney.
Upon graduating cum laude from Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in
English, Wheble attended Georgetown University Law Center, where she
graduated in 1992.
