June 7, 2004 – LAWFUEL – Clifford Chance US LLP announced today that James Hart Holden will join the firm’s Antitrust practice as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office. For the past 14 years, Mr. Holden has worked at the Federal Trade Commission, where he most recently served as Deputy Assistant Director for the FTC’s Bureau of Competition, Mergers I Division.
“Hart is a very experienced attorney and his years with the FTC and his perspective on government regulatory concerns and processes will certainly enhance the firm’s ability to handle competition and other complex antitrust issues,” said John Carroll, Clifford Chance’s Managing Partner for the Americas Region. “His expertise will benefit clients enormously, and I am delighted to welcome him to Clifford Chance.”
While at the Federal Trade Commission, Mr. Holden was lead counsel on dozens of antitrust cases and investigations involving a broad range of antitrust issues in numerous industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, defense, industrial products and utilities. Mr. Holden earned his J.D., with distinction, from University of Oklahoma College of Law, and his B.A. from Westminster College in Missouri.
