FerradaNehme Launches Natural Resources and Environmental Area with New Partner Patricio Leyton

(LAWFUEL) – As from September, FerradaNehme will incorporate environmental law to its traditional areas of practice after the arrival of Patricio Leyton –before partner in charge of such area at Urrutia y Cía.- as new partner of the firm.

Leyton arrives to FN with more than 12 years of experience in project development and environmental issues – which includes a master at Georgetown-, which will be complemented with FerradaNehme’s expertise in litigation, regulation, administrative law and public law. In fact, environmental matters are not new for the firm, since it has previously participated advising the Comisión Nacional del Medio Ambiente (National Environmental Commission or Conama) and the Secretaría General de la Presidencia (General Secretary of Presidency or Segpres) during the preparation of the bill that regulates the new environmental institutional operation for Chile.

Leyton’s team will be composed by a senior associate and two associates, although with the potential development that this practice has, it is likely that new members will be hired in the near future.
