Philadelphia, Pa. – (LAWFUEL) – October 15, 2008 – Amy B. Ginensky, a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP, chair of its Commercial Litigation Practice Group and leader of its media and communications practice, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in the nation. The induction ceremony took place in late September at the College’s annual meeting in Toronto, Canada.
The American College of Trial Lawyers (www.actl.com) is an honorary association comprised of experienced trial lawyers in the United States and Canada who have mastered the art of advocacy and who adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.
Fellowship in the College, which was founded in 1950, is extended by invitation only, and lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years of trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship. Membership in the College cannot exceed 1 percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. The College’s Fellowship represents all branches of trial practice, enabling the organization to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.
Ms. Ginensky practices in Pepper Hamilton’s Philadelphia office. In addition to handling class action and commercial litigation matters, she has an active media and communications practice that focuses on First Amendment, defamation and other media-related areas.
Outside of the firm, Ms. Ginensky is president-elect of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, and she co-chaired the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Law Firm Pro Bono Committee for many years. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College (A.B. 1974) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D. 1977).
