CHICAGO (LAWFUEL) – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, is pleased to announce that attorney Danielle A. Phillip and scientific advisor Dr. Hao Tan have joined the firm’s Chicago, IL office.
Before joining Brinks, Ms. Phillip was an attorney in the New York City office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Her practice focused on litigation, specifically securities, intellectual property and general commercial litigation.
Ms. Phillip received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. She received her A.B. in biochemical sciences from Harvard University and is admitted to practice before the New York State Bar, the Illinois State Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Prior to joining Brinks, Dr. Tan was an electrical and computer engineer with the University of Virginia. While at the University of Virginia, Dr. Tan worked on developing various computer programs and research regarding medical imaging. Dr. Tan is the co-author of several articles and publications on electrical and computer engineering as well as the co-author on two registered United States patents.
Dr. Tan received his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Virginia. Prior to receiving his Ph.D., he received a M.S. in biomedical engineering and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
