Arizona Man Sentenced To 55 Months Prison For Being A Felon In Possession Of A Firearm

PHOENIX (LAWFUEL) – Warren Davis Trujillo, 21, of Coolidge, Ariz. was sentenced in federal court on November 10, 2008, to 55 months prison by U.S. District Judge Roslyn O. Silver. Trujillo pleaded guilty on October 10, 2007 to being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. In 2005, he was convicted of Kidnaping in Pinal County Superior Court.

On May 24, 2007, Trujillo was in his home with his girlfriend and their infant child when Gila River police officers responded to a call that Trujillo was in possession of a firearm. Officers told Trujillo to leave the residence, but he failed to comply and waived a 410 gauge shotgun at them. After approximately two hours, Trujillo surrendered.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the Gila River Police Department. The prosecution was handled by Sharon Sexton, Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of Arizona, Phoenix.
