DENVER (LAWFUEL) – U.S. Attorney Troy Eid issued the following statement today regarding the appointment of Senator Ken Salazar as Secretary of the Department of Interior:
“Senator Ken Salazar is a friend who has served Colorado with great distinction – and will keep doing so as Interior Secretary. I wouldn’t be serving today as Colorado’s U.S. Attorney without Senator Salazar’s encouragement and hard work, and that of retiring Senator Wayne Allard.
“As Allison and I prepare for my own transition next year, Ken Salazar’s expected departure is a reminder that we need more leaders in Colorado who cross party lines to protect our state’s people, land and water. As Colorado’s chief federal law enforcement officer, I’ll be keeping Ken’s approach in mind as I consider how best to continue my own statewide public service in the days ahead.”
