Brussels – LAWFUEL.com – Legal Newswire – DLA Piper has appointed Yoichi Shibasaki as a partner in its EU Competition practice in Brussels. Yoichi joined DLA Piper from Linklaters in Brussels, where he was a partner.
Yoichi has over 27 years of experience in competition and trade law, corporate M&A and commercial, as well as matters related to Japanese business or Japanese law. He has also developed technology, chemical and materials sector expertise. Typically, Yoichi assists large international businesses and Japanese companies with regulatory and compliance, as well as transactional work.

Yoichi holds a LLB from the Hitotsubashi University in Japan (1974) and a LLM from the University of California, Berkley, US (1981). He is admitted to the Japanese (1976), the New York (1985) and the Brussels (1990 as an associate member) bars.
