NEW YORK, March 1, 2005- LAWFUEL – The Law News Network -Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today that Norma Edmiston has been named the firm’s chief financial officer. Edmiston brings to Orrick more than twenty-five years of experience in a broad range of financial management positions, managing large, geographically diverse staffs. She will be based in Orrick’s New York office, where she will oversee a 70-member finance team that stretches across three continents and is concentrated in the firm’s Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Edmiston was previously Controller at McKinsey & Company in New York, where she managed all accounting functions of the firm throughout 82 offices in 44 countries.
Prior to McKinsey, Edmiston held various financial positions in all divisions of The McGraw-Hill Companies, including Vice President of Administration, Vice President and Controller, and Vice President of Finance. Before joining McGraw-Hill, she was a certified public accountant at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP.
