Los Angeles/New York – March 31, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced the re-election of John T. Frankenheimer and Michael D. Beck as Co-Chairmen of the firm. Mr. Frankenheimer is resident in Los Angeles and Mr. Beck works out of the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Frankenheimer has been Co-Chair of the firm since 1998. His practice is centered in the media and entertainment industries, with dual emphasis on both institutional and talent clients. He is past President and Chairman of the City of Hope’s Music and Entertainment Industry Chapter. As a member of the founding Advisory Board, Mr. Frankenheimer served as Chairman of the Entertainment Law Initiative, the legal forum sponsored by NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences – The Grammy Foundation) from 2002-2004, and remains an active member of the Board. In 2004, he received the ACLU of Southern California’s Torch of Liberty Award for community service, and in 2000 he received the Spirit of Music (Man of the Year) Award from the Entertainment and Media Communications Division of the UJA Federation of New York.
Mr. Beck concentrates his Real Estate practice in the areas of joint ventures, finance and leasing representing various types of equity participants in partnership transactions, both lenders and borrowers in finance transactions, and landlords and tenants in office, retail and ground leasing matters. Mr. Beck also has significant experience in the acquisition and sale of property and extensive experience in real estate workouts. Prior to becoming Co-Chairman of the firm in 2004, Mr. Beck was the managing partner of the New York office following his tenure as national chair of the Real Estate Department.
Under the stewardship of Mr. Frankenheimer and Mr. Beck, the firm has boosted revenues and profitability and expanded geographically, despite the weak economy. Their goal is to continue that good work.
