DeCarlo has joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Intellectual Property Department in the New York office. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Mr. DeCarlo was a partner at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.
He is a registered patent attorney actively involved in all aspects of intellectual property counseling, including: litigating patent, trademark and copyright matters; counseling clients on the strategic use and management of intellectual property assets; drafting infringement, validity and freedom to operate opinions; drafting and negotiating complex technology licenses, software agreements and Internet agreements; and directing the prosecution of patent applications in areas such as electronic commerce, streaming media, Internet search engines, telecommunications, computer software and hardware, business methods, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, semiconductors, electronics and electro-mechanical devices.
