New York, NY (June 16, 2005) Heller Ehrman LLP today announced the addition of Martin H. Levenglick as a shareholder in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Levenglick joins Heller Ehrman from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where his practice was focused upon the representation of venture-backed early stage and emerging growth companies and included the disciplines of venture capital, private equity and mergers and acquisitions, , principally on behalf of venture capital funds, strategic investors and corporate acquirers.

Mr. Levenglick earned his B.A. in political science (first class honours) in 1976 from McGill University and his J.D. in 1979 from New York University School of Law. Upon graduation, Mr. Levenglick joined O’Sullivan Graev & Karabell LLP where he became a partner in 1985. In 1997 he joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP as a senior corporate partner, and during the course of his tenure there was co-head of the New York corporate group and a member of the firm’s corporate department leadership team. Throughout his career, Mr. Levenglick has been a recognized expert in the representation of start-up, early stage, emerging growth and high growth public and private companies, as outside general counsel or as special transactional counsel, particularly in the media, software, technology, and life sciences sectors.
