AUGUSTA (JULY 6) – Kilpatrick Stockton today announced that Counsel Jerry Woods has been selected to serve a three-year term as Treasurer of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
Mr. Woods is a member of Kilpatrick Stockton’s Corporate Practice Group. He joined the firm after serving twenty-two years at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was Vice President for Business Operations, Legal Advisor to the President and an Assistant Professor of Medical Jurisprudence. During his tenure at the Medical College, he handled a broad range of university, academic medical center, hospital and physician legal matters.
Mr. Woods graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration. He earned his J.D. at Emory University School of Law.
His community involvement includes Sacred Heart Cultural Center (Board of Directors), Rotary Club of Augusta (Secretary), Augusta Symphony League, Southeastern Natural Sciences Academy (Vice-Chairman), and the United Way of Metro Augusta (Executive Committee).
