UK Law – Legal Jobs & News – Eversheds scoops silver award for Corporate Responsibility

16 June 2009 – Lawfuel.com – International law firm Eversheds has won a place in an index ranking organisations by their commitment to corporate responsibility (CR). The firm was given a silver rating in the Business in the Community 2008 CR index.

Business in the Community’s CR Index is the UK’s leading voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility. It helps companies to integrate and improve responsibility throughout their operations by providing a systematic approach to managing, measuring and reporting on business impacts in society and on the environment.

Caroline Wilson, Head of CR and Diversity at Eversheds, commented:

“The silver award is testament to the dedication and hard work of the firm. We scored consistently high marks in the areas of Corporate Strategy, Community Management, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and we were able to demonstrate our commitment over the years. Now more than ever, it’s about time commitment more than money. Whatever’s going on around them, people are still passionate about this area.”

No law firms were given the top two bands: platinum and gold, and Eversheds was one of three firms to get a silver award.
