Making Strides Is American Cancer Society’s Premier Breast Cancer Event
WASHINGTON (September 9, 2009) – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that it is serving as a flagship sponsor of the Washington, DC Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk for the second year in a row. This year, the sixth annual walk will be held Saturday, October 31. Registration will begin at 9AM at the Washington Nationals Ballpark with the walk kicking off at 10AM.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the American Cancer Society’s premier event to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer. More than just the name of a walk, it unites people of all ages with the goal of fighting breast cancer and saving lives. Making Strides events are noncompetitive walks ranging in distance from three to five miles.

Since 1993, nearly five million walkers across the country have raised more than $340 million through Making Strides events to help fight breast cancer. In 2008 alone, American Cancer Society supporters raised more than $60 million nationwide in this united fight.
