Buell has been a driving force at Luce Forward in influencing the corporate culture and employees who support the community in a variety of significant ways. He works to foster an awareness of community responsibility using his personal resources as well as those of the firm. He has served on the board of the YMCA of San Diego County for eight years, and is starting an unprecedented fourth year of service as chairman. The YMCA of San Diego County is recognized as the largest social service organization in San Diego County and the second largest YMCA in the United States.
Buell, whose practice focuses on real estate and construction transactions, served as managing partner at Luce Forward from 1998 to 2004. He has also served on the firm’s Executive Committee and as co-chair of Luce Forward’s highly regarded Real Estate Practice Group.
