ATLANTA (October 26, 2005) – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is sponsoring a panel discussion, “Keeping Church and State Separate; Redefining the Marriage Debate,” on October 26 at The Carter Center at Cecil B. Day Chapel in Atlanta. The event is in coordination with Lambda Legal and the American Constitution Society.

Marla Butler, an attorney with the firm, will moderate a panel of scholars, religious leaders and attorneys who will begin the process of placing the discussion of same sex marriage in its proper secular context, consistent with the principle of separation of church and state guaranteed by the Constitution. Panelists include Dr. Kenneth Samuel, pastor of Victory Church, Robert Schapiro, professor, Emory University School of Law and Jack Senterfitt, senior staff attorney, Lambda Legal.
