Lowenstein Sandler Partner Honored Among “Best Fifty Women in Business”

Roseland, NJ (March 7, 2011) Lowenstein Sandler PC is pleased to announce that Mary J. Hildebrand, Member of the Firm, has been selected as one of the 2011 “Best Fifty Women in Business,” by NJBiz magazine.

NJBiz’s annual “Best Fifty Women in Business” award honors New Jersey women business leaders who are making a significant impact in their company, industry and community. Winners are selected based on their professional work, community involvement, and advocacy for women in business. Nominations are open to women who live or work New Jersey and are significant decision-makers in their organizations.
The 2011 Best Fifty Women in Business winners will be honored on March 28, 2011, at the Palace at Somerset, NJ.

A senior member of Lowenstein Sandler’s Tech Group, Ms. Hildebrand focuses her practice on strategic planning, commercialization, protection, and management of intellectual property and technology assets. Recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2009 and 2010) for her work in the intellectual property area, she has been lead counsel in many substantial transactions, with an emphasis on complex structures involving the development, distribution, exploitation, sale, license and outsourcing of IP assets, e-commerce, web-enabled ventures and clean energy. Ms. Hildebrand is also active in the Lowenstein Center for the Public Interest, where her pro bono counsel includes protecting the legal rights of women and children, most recently through work with the Perinatal Consortium of Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Ms. Hildebrand co-founded and co-chairs STRIDES® – Advancing Women in Business, an initiative sponsored by Lowenstein Sandler that promotes visibility, leadership opportunities, and quality peer interaction for women in business. Under Ms. Hildebrand’s leadership, STRIDES has hosted more than 20 successful events since its founding in 2006, including keynotes featuring New York Times columnist and best-selling author Lisa Belkin; New York Times best-selling author Julie Morgenstern, and economist/author Sylvia Ann Hewlett.

Active in her local community, Ms. Hildebrand is a founding member of the Women’s Council at the Liberty Science Center, and serves on the Finance Council of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Roseland, NJ. She also holds leadership positions within several professional organizations. She is a CEO Level Member of Vistage International; Co-chair of the New Jersey Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society; Past President and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Executive Association of New Jersey; and is an active member of the Governance Committee for the Executive Women of New Jersey and the Women Presidents’ Organization.

A resident of Roseland, NJ, Ms. Hildebrand earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Union College of Union University.
