Hong Kong, 20 Dec 2005 — LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The international law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP has elected fourteen lawyers to partnership across its worldwide platform. They practice in nine offices — Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Mannheim, Munich, New York, Paris, Rome and San Francisco. The elections are effective January 1, 2006.
The new partners practice in the antitrust, asset management, bank finance, capital markets, international arbitration, mergers & acquisitions, project development and finance and tax areas.

Frankfurt Johannes A. Frey, who practices in the firm’s International Tax group, received a Dr. jur. from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität, Munich, in 1998, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1997.
Hong Kong Andrew D. Ruff, who practices in the firm’s Project Development & Finance group, received a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1994, an M.A. from Harvard University in 1991, and a B.A. from Harvard College in 1988.
Paul Strecker, who practices in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group, received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1997, and a B.A. from Oxford University, St. Peter’s College, in 1994.
London Patrick Clancy, who practices in the firm’s Bank Finance group, received a M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School in 2000, completed the Legal Practice Course/Law Society Finals at the College of Law, Guildford, in 1988, and received an M.A. from Oxford University, Worcester College, in 1986.
