21 December – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Cravath represented FPL Group, Inc. in its $28 billion merger with Constellation Energy. The combination will create the nation’s largest competitive energy supplier and its second-largest electric utility portfolio.
The partners who worked on this matter were Philip A. Gelston and Sarkis Jebejian on corporate issues, Stephen L. Gordon on tax issues and Jeffrey A. Smith on environmental issues. The deal was announced on December 19, 2005.
