Philadelphia, Pa. – February 22, 2006 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Pepper Hamilton LLP announced that seven lawyers were elected to the partnership and five were elected of counsel effective January 1, 2006.

Christine Waldmann Carmody concentrates her practice in affordable housing matters and the representation of lenders, public housing authorities and developers, as well as tenants, owners and managers, in multifamily housing and commercial real estate transactions. A graduate of Wellesley College (B.A. 1989) and Georgetown University Law Center (J.D. 1995), she joined Pepper in 1997.

Raymond L. DeLuca focuses his practice in construction litigation, design professional defense and surety claims. He represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and design professionals in all phases of the construction process, including contract drafting and negotiation, bidding, contract administration, and litigation and alternate dispute resolution proceedings. A graduate of Temple University (B.A. 1991) and Rutgers University School of Law (J.D. 1996), he joined Pepper in 2000.

Sharon F. DiPaolo concentrates her practice in real estate litigation, including lease disputes, tax assessment appeals, and eminent domain and zoning issues. She also is experienced in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contract, intellectual property, construction and class actions. A graduate of Duquesne University (B.A. 1988) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D. 1994), she joined Pepper in 1995.

John P. Duke focuses his practice in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and private equity transactions. From 1999 to 2002, he served as assistant general counsel of Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company, where he was primary legal counsel for the investment, finance and strategic planning functions of the company. A graduate of Loyola College (B.B.A.
1992) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1995), he joined Pepper in 1996.

Aline Fairweather concentrates her practice in pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation, including complex mass torts litigation. She also advises clients on other litigation issues, including electronic discovery, and data and document preservation. A graduate of Oxford University (B.A. 1981, M.A. 1987), Princeton University (M.A. 1984) and the University of Chicago Law School (J.D. 1994), she joined Pepper in 2004.

Jack R. Garfinkle focuses his practice in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions, and securities offerings. He also advises clients on general corporate and corporate governance matters. A graduate of Brandeis University (B.A. 1993) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1996), he joined Pepper in 1997.

Kristin I. Wells concentrates her practice in corporate and securities counseling, representation of sports franchises, and mergers and acquisitions for publicly traded and privately held companies. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (B.A. 1990, M.B.A. 1992) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D. 1996), she joined Pepper in 1997.

Christopher J. Camp concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration, business succession planning, and counseling clients on matters involving family, estate and gift tax, estate and trust administration, and business issues. A graduate of Miami University (B.A.
1991) and Case Western Reserve University, The Franklin Thomas Backus School of Law (J.D. 1994), he joined Pepper in 1996.

Matthew J. Hamilton concentrates his practice in pharmaceutical and medical device product liability litigation, including complex mass torts litigation, federal multidistrict litigation, coordinated state court actions and class actions. A graduate of Grove City College (B.A. 1992) and The Dickinson School of Law (J.D. 1996), he joined Pepper in 1996.

John C. Hansberry’s practice covers a variety of litigation, including arbitrations, trials and appeals. His experience includes commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and class action and public housing litigation. A graduate of Yale University (B.A. 1989) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D. 1994), he joined Pepper in 1999.

Matthew J. Maguire represents management in a variety of labor and employment matters. He counsels employers on labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions, and on avoiding and addressing union organizing campaigns. A graduate of Temple University (B.A. 1987) and Widener University School of Law (J.D. 1994), he joined Pepper in 1998.

James P. Thomas concentrates his practice in labor and employment law, and complex commercial and construction litigation. A graduate of Boston University (B.A. 1992) and Duquesne University School of Law (J.D. 1995), he joined Pepper in 2002.
