ATLANTA, Sept. 20 2004 LAWFUEL – Best law news, legal research, attorney, law firm news Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy LLP has hired J. Bruce Murphy as Chief Financial Officer.
Most recently, Mr. Murphy was the Chief Financial Officer for the law firm
of Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis, IN where he directed aspects of that
firm’s finance department across diverse business units and geographic
locations.
Charles Vann, Chief Operating Officer, commented, “The Firm was seeking a
finance officer who could play a key role in providing Powell Goldstein with
the finance support needed in an increasingly complex business. We view sound

Bruce Murphy will direct the Firm’s Finance Department and all of the
accounting functions in both the Atlanta and Washington, DC offices. He
oversees preparation of the Firm’s budget, financial reporting, banking
relationships and financial analysis as well as billing and collections. He
will also be assisting the Firm in the relocation to One Atlantic Center in
Atlanta and 901 New York Avenue in Washington later this year
He is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and is a
Certified Public Accountant.
