BALTIMORE 17 October 2004 LAWFUEL – Law, legal, attorney, law firm news – Ava E. Lias-Booker has joined the Baltimore office of McGuireWoods LLP as partner and head of the Baltimore office’s Commercial Litigation Department. She will focus her practice on complex and general business and financial disputes in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Lias-Booker was a partner with Saul Ewing LLP, where she was a member of the litigation department and co-chaired the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Additionally, Lias-Booker was named one of Maryland’s “Top 100 Women” by The Daily Record in 1997 and 2003.
She received her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law, and her bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
