Law Firm’s $250,000 Birthday Gift

>> Latest Law Jobs on the LawFuel Network Hamilton law firm Tompkins Wake has commemorated its 100th year with a quarter-million dollar contribution to the new Waikato Regional Theatre. The gift was achieved through a partnership the firm made with Momentum Waikato, which originated in 2013 with the intention of providing pro bono legal services Tompkins Wake CEO Jon Calder (left) said the gift was a substantial way the firm could “give back” to the people of Waikato who had supported them over the last century. “Hamilton and the Waikato region are where Tompkins Wake was founded. It will always be a place of special significance for our firm and our people, past and present. “We are proud to be making this gift to the theatre ... and to be working alongside other generous donors, many of whom are our clients, to make sure we can all enjoy this world-class facility for many generations to come.”s The 24-partner firm has offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua. The new theatre will be a multipurpose performing arts centre with a 1300-seat auditorium, circle balconies and flexible staging. It commenced construction last year and is expected to be completed by mid-2023.
