London, 14 August 2006 - LAWFUEL - Legal News Network - Baker & McKenzie, London announced today that it has advised PepsiCo Inc. on its sale of the Sugar Puffs brand and associated business to Big Bear Limited, the owner of Fox's confectionery. The Baker & McKenzie team was led by corporate partner, Gordon Low, who was assisted by corporate associates David Chmiel and Robert Hewitt. Commenting on the transaction, Gordon Low said: "This is a significant deal for our client involving an iconic brand and we are very pleased to have worked with PepsiCo Inc. in signing this deal so quickly." The transaction is due to complete in September. PepsiCo Inc. is a world leader in convenience foods and beverages and its brands are available in nearly 200 countries. Sugar Puffs was first launched in 1954 and is currently one of the top four UK ready-to-eat breakfast cereals.
