Dr. Pollack has helped obtain favorable judgments in several suits on behalf of pioneer drug companies, including suits brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act against potential generic entrants. His work has focused on pharmaceutical products and drug substances, polymers, optics, and chemical reactors, and he has worked on cases involving mechanical inventions. He has successfully represented companies in suits at the International Trade Commission. He has also helped obtain patents for his clients in pharmaceutical and chemical technology at the Patent and Trademark Office. Dr. Pollack received his J.D. from Columbia Law School; his PhD. in Physical Chemistry and his M.S. in Chemistry from Northwestern University; and his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Rochester. Kathleen Crotty practices in the areas of patent law and complex commercial litigation. Her experience includes litigating patent infringement actions involving various biotechnical and medical devices, as well as prosecuting and defending patent infringement appeals in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Crotty also litigates trademark infringement actions and counsels clients regarding false advertising claims. Her experience includes litigating federal and state antitrust actions, including a multi-defendant Sherman Act class action trial. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law; her M.S. in Statistics from Pennsylvania State University; and her B.A. from Lehigh University. Chad J. Peterman focuses his practice on patent and antitrust litigation with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical and electrical arts. He has represented a major pharmaceutical company in complex ANDA and antitrust litigations and major software, telecommunication, semiconductor, fiber optic and medical equipment companies in a variety of patent litigations. In addition to litigation, Mr. Peterman has also represented companies in intellectual property transactional matters, including the rendering of patent opinions and the negotiation of a variety of intellectual property agreements. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S.E. from Princeton University. Hope K. Plasha has a broad-based real estate practice that includes the representation of landlords and tenants in leasing transactions, investors in the acquisition and development of commercial and residential properties, and commercial lenders in a wide spectrum of real estate financings.
