Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Celebrates 90th Anniversary; Firm Debuts New State-of-the-Art Conference Center atop NBC Tower

CHICAGO – LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – To commemorate its 90th anniversary, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, cut the ribbon on its new state-of-the-art, high-tech conference center at a reception for its clients, judicial dignitaries, colleagues and the firm’s attorneys, held on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in its offices in the NBC Tower, 455 N. Cityfront Plaza Drive, Chicago, Illinois.

Over the past several months, the firm’s eight floors have undergone a bottom-to-top renovation, culminating in the total remodeling of its 36th floor, which formerly housed offices and several meeting rooms. The 36th floor is now the site of a network of beautiful and fully-equipped conference rooms, a spacious lunchroom with modern kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and a breathtaking view of the city, breakout rooms, lounge areas and more. Also on display on the 36th floor, the firm has added two important pieces to its art collection: an impressive painting by prominent New York artist Stephen Pace, an example of the New York School of abstract expressionism, and a striking work of photography by internationally-known Dutch photographer Jan Theun van Rees, which boldly portrays the interior of a Millennium Park sculpture from an unexpected viewpoint of a hidden space.

The firm has implemented more than 380 connections in the new Conferencing Center associated with higher-level technology needs for the firm and for its clients, offering the ultimate experience in electronic collaboration. The firm now has ISDN and High-Speed IP Video (people plus content) conferencing, automatic ceiling lift projector systems, automatic projector screen systems, Creston touch-screen presentation and room lights and shading systems, an Electronic Conferencing Scheduling System, touchpad screens outside of all conference rooms, HD CATV LG Flat Panel Displays throughout and LCD CATV Projector systems, wiring in conference table tops, wireless portable convenience printers in all conference rooms and more than 80 individual audio microphone connection systems with a direct video camera system to link to video Web conferencing among all its offices.
