Bryan Cave Adds Three Attorneys

ST. LOUIS, March 4, 2009 (LAWFUEL) – The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP (www.bryancave.com) announced today that three attorneys have joined the firm. Greg Hummel has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner and will practice with the Real Estate and Banking Client Service Group. Marcy Bergman has joined the firm as a partner, and Robert Padway has joined as counsel. Both will practice with the Intellectual Property Client Service Group in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Hummel’s practice is related to real estate development, with a particular focus on public-private partnerships. Throughout his career, Hummel has focused on real estate development and finance, design and construction and tax increment and special district financing. He also regularly advises clients in the acquisition, zoning, leasing and management of residential, office, industrial and retail ventures. He received his J.D. in 1974 from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, in 1971 from MacMurray College.

Bergman focuses her practice on trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, design patents, trade secrets and unfair competition. She also represents national retailers on a broad range of legal matters. Bergman received her J.D. in 1977 from the University of California-Hastings and her B.A. in 1974 from the State University of New York-Binghamton.

Padway handles intellectual property litigation including trademark and trade dress matters, trade secret and unfair competition cases, domain name disputes and patent infringement cases. He also represents business and financial institutions in civil litigation and commercial disputes. Padway received his J.D. in 1970 from the University of California-Berkeley and his A.B., cum laude, in 1967 from Harvard University.
