November 3, 2008 (LAWFUEL) – The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP (www.bryancave.com) and Atlanta-based Powell Goldstein LLP (www.pogolaw.com) will combine, effective January 1, 2009, according to both firms. Globally, the combined firm will continue to be known as Bryan Cave LLP.
Following the combination, Bryan Cave will have more than 1,200 attorneys and other professionals in 25 offices around the globe. The combined firm is expected to rank among the 20 largest in the world by number of lawyers, and among the 50 largest as ranked by revenue.

Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2009, Powell Goldstein serves clients from offices in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Dallas and Charlotte, N.C.

The combination with Powell Goldstein follows other recent moves by Bryan Cave to expand its domestic and international reach, including new offices in Milan, Hamburg, San Francisco and Paris within the past 17 months.
