(April 30, 2009) – Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, a prominent California law firm, today announced it continues with its plans to grow its offices statewide with the addition of veteran attorney Jess R. Bressi to the firm’s Orange County office. Bressi will be a Partner in the firm’s commercial, finance and insolvency and real estate and environmental litigation practice groups.
Bressi, who has spent the last 24 years at Cox, Castle & Nicholson, is an experienced courtroom litigator who focuses his practice on financial remedies, bankruptcy, business litigation, real estate development, construction and secured transaction disputes. He is also an expert in the distressed real estate arena, helping his client acquire distressed real estate loans for fun and profit.

Experienced in bankruptcy, real estate, finance and litigation, Bressi often lectures and writes on those topics. He is a past president of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and a current member of its board of directors, as well as a current member of the board of directors of the California Bankruptcy Forum. He is also a member of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, the California Receivers Forum and the Financial Lawyers Conference. Bressi received his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from California State University at Northridge.
