Philadelphia, February 28, 2013 – LawFuel.com – Camille Miller, co-chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group, was named a Client Choice 2013 winner on February 27, 2013 at a gala dinner held in London. The Client Choice survey was conducted by International Law Office (ILO) and Lexology, polling only senior corporate counsel. From a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments, 355 individuals were selected internationally, and 222 were included in the USA & Canada edition.
To arrive at the list of winners, ILO and Lexology distributed a readership survey to in-house counsel subscribers. Clients were asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology. To ensure the results could not be influenced, law firms were not informed when the initial round of research was conducted. From the survey results, shortlists for each work area are derived. Shortlisted candidates were then invited to submit up to five references. The research team then conducted follow-up interviews and additional research where necessary. Miller concentrates her practice in all aspects of intellectual property, specifically trademark, trade dress, copyright, unfair competition, right of privacy, right of publicity, domain names, counterfeiting, data privacy and related breaches, licensing, trade secret and franchising law, as well as all areas of intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret. She is an active member of the International Trademark Association, participating on Trademark Classification Committee (2012-2014), Trademark Trade Dress Committee (2008-2012), Trademark Reporter Committee (2006-2008) and Emerging Issues Subcommittee of the Issues and Policy Committee (2002-2004). Miller is also a member of the Trademark Legislative Committee of the Intellectual Property Organization, the Copyright Society of the U.S.A.. and its Philadelphia Chapter, as well as the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association.
