(LAWFUEL) – Peter J. Gluck, a partner at the prominent California law firm Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, was recently recognized by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal as one of the Top 25 intellectual property portfolio managers and patent prosecutors in California.
Gluck, who recently joined Luce Forward and is co-chairing the firm’s new technology law practice group, has more than 18 years of experience as an intellectual property lawyer and focuses on patent procurement, policing and intellectual property portfolio management issues. Gluck also provides client counseling with respect to patent portfolio generation, valuation and financing. He counsels public, private, start-up and developing companies on how to design their technology into mapped “white-spaces” around the competitors’ holdings.
During 2008, Gluck created and trimmed patent portfolios for a significant number of clients both in and out of California. On the basis of this work, funding was secured and/or increased for many of the involved entities. Prominent among these developing clients were medical device start-ups (Tandem Diabetes Corp., Mindframe®, Inc. and ReShape Medical®, pharmaceutical companies (Charlesson, LLC) and those who develop software for others (Integrien Corp.) and for their own uses (Zane Benefits, LLC). Gluck’s successful career is largely based on his ability to employ creative solutions to avoid litigation and those challenges which often occur during related transactional matters. In addition, the ongoing analysis of the relationship between proprietary subject matters and evolving patent law is essential to his practice.
