DALLAS 9 November 2004 LAWFUEL – Law, legal, attorney, law firm news – Doug Lukasik, an associate in the trial section at Dallas’ Gardere Wynne Sewell, earned the highest score of the 2,293 attorneys who took the July 2004 Texas Bar Exam.

Mr. Lukasik scored an 852 out of a possible 1,000. His results included a 174-scaled score on the multistate bar exam. The highest score in the country was 187.

As the highest-scoring attorney, Mr. Lukasik has been asked to speak at the 10 a.m. Nov. 15 swearing-in ceremony at the Frank Erwin Center on the campus of The University of Texas.

Mr. Lukasik graduated cum laude from the Duke University School of Law earlier this year. While at Duke, he was the lead editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law and Vice President of Speakers and Events for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He earned his Bachelors of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in 2001 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
