DLA Piper Appoints Property and Hotel Expert to Boost Real Estate Group in Asia

Hong Kong (LAWFUEL) – DLA Piper today announced Susheela Rivers, a leading property lawyer who has advised on landmark developments in London and the UK, has joined its Real Estate Group in Hong Kong as Partner. With nearly 20 years in property law and extensive hotel-related experience, Ms Rivers’ appointment represents a strategic move in the continued expansion of DLA Piper’s award-winning Real Estate Group in Asia.

An expert on real estate aspects of hotels, acquisitions and disposals, financing, developments, leases and private funding initiatives, Ms Rivers brings a wealth of experience advising developers, investors, financiers and tenants. She has advised international hotel groups, investment banks, property companies, retailers and hospitals on complex, high value transactions including securitisations as well as IPOs. Projects include leading hotels in London ranging from five-star luxury groups to fashionable small hotels. Ms Rivers was previously a Senior Associate with Clifford Chance in London.

Ms Rivers, who obtained her LLB from the University of London, is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales. She was educated in Singapore, Malaysia and England and speaks English, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysian and Bahasa Indonesian.
