DLA PIPER STRENGTHENS ITALIAN BANKING TEAM
Milan – DLA Piper has appointed Mario D’Ovidio as a partner to lead its Italian banking practice. Mario, who joins DLA Piper from Clifford Chance, will be based in Milan and report to Finance and Projects Location Head, Luigi Rizzi.

Mario has extensive finance experience having advised local and international financial institutions across Italy and in London during a secondment. His practice covers restructuring and acquisition, export, real estate, project and asset finance.
Luigi Rizzi said: “Mario is an outstanding banking and finance lawyer and I am delighted he is joining DLA Piper. He will add a wealth of experience to the team.

“We already have a good finance and banking practice in Italy and are noted for the range of services that we provide clients. Mario’s appointment will add significant strength to the practice and we intend to build on his appointment by extending the depth of our banking services across Italy.”

Mario, 37, holds a LLD from La Salpienza University in Rome (1998) and officially joined DLA Piper on 1 September.
