English and Yoviene Join Law Firm Ober|Kaler

WASHINGTON, DC February 11, 2009 (LAWFUEL) – The law firm Ober|Kaler announced today that Charles M. “Chip” English and Wendy M. Yoviene have joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office in the Commercial Litigation and Government Relations practices.

Both experienced litigators, Mr. English and Ms. Yoviene handle a wide range of complex litigation in the federal courts, representing waste haulers, automotive companies, energy companies, nurseries, dairy farmers, milk processors, and state agencies in Commerce Clause, Preemption and First Amendment commercial speech dispute matters.

Mr. English has also worked for more than fifteen years in organic farming regulation and represents processor and producer groups in USDA hearings. He was active in the Federal Milk Market Order Reform rule-making proceedings mandated by the 1996 Farm Bill and was involved in the formulation of the 1990 and 1996 Farm Bills as well as the Milk Regulatory Equity Act of 2005.

Mr. English is admitted to the bar in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., and is active in the Agriculture Law Association and the Administrative Law and Litigation Sections of the
American Bar Association. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.S., 1981 and J.D., 1984) and resides on Capital Hill in Washington, D.C.

In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Yoviene provides representation with respect to dispute resolution involving federal and state government agencies; formal and informal rule-making proceedings; and commercial and government contracts. She also provides counsel on business and antitrust issues.

Ms. Yoviene is admitted to the bar in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., and is active in the Agriculture Law Association and the Administrative Law and Litigation Sections of the
American Bar Association. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A., 1992 and J.D., 1997) and resides in McLean, Virginia.
