February 28, 2005, Washington, D.C. – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Seth A. Watkins, Ph.D. has joined Steptoe & Johnson LLP as special counsel in the Intellectual Property and Litigation groups in the firms Washington, D.C. office.
Dr. Watkins concentrates his practice on intellectual property strategic
counseling, litigation, prosecution, and agreement negotiation. He counsels
clients in obtaining, protecting, licensing, and enforcing intellectual
property, with a particular focus on patents. He is particularly experienced in the
mechanical, biomedical, and materials arts. Dr. Watkins has litigated a
variety of intellectual property matters including patent infringement and
unfair competition actions.
Alfred Mamlet, leader of Steptoes Intellectual Property Practice Group,

Dr. Watkins holds four degrees from Duke University, including a Ph.D. in
